Indicados por prefeitos, parentes fracassam nas eleições na Grande João Pessoa

As urnas deram um recado para os gestores que tentaram emplacar um parente na sucessão municipal deste ano, principalmente em disputas na Grande João Pessoa.
Os prefeitos de João Pessoa, Luciano Cartaxo; Lucena, Marcelo Monteiro e Pedras de Fogo, Dedé Romão, recorreram à mesma receita na tentativa de emplacar o sucessor na gestão municipal: tiraram do colete um parente para concorrer na disputa. O detalhe é que todos os três foram derrotados e não conseguiram dar continuidade ao projeto de seus padrinhos políticos.
Em João Pessoa, por exemplo, a candidata Edilma Freire, que é concunhada de Cartaxo, ficou em 5º lugar na disputa, com pouco menos de 13% dos votos válidos.
Já em Lucena, no Litoral Norte paraibano, o prefeito Marcelo Monteiro viu seu projeto desmoronar com a vitória da oposição. Lá, o gestor apostou todas as fichas no sobrinho, Alex Monteiro, que até bem pouco tempo sequer morava na cidade. O resultado das urnas mostrou uma diferença confortável de quase 7% em favor de Léo Bandeira, prefeito eleito.
Em Pedras de Fogo, o cenário foi o mesmo. Dedé Romão apanhou nas urnas com o sobrinho Lucas Romão, que foi derrotado por Manoel Junior com quase 1,4 mil votos de diferença.
